Out now (at last)…

ET044After waiting and waiting and waiting finally the new records are ready… I do not want to sound frustrated but it is simply the truth to tell you that the reasons to blame are the fake vinyl hype and the commercial  event record store day... pressing plants cannot handle these temporary (that is what they are!) seductions and push orders from labels who are here for much longer ahead…

Anyway the new Gooiland Elektro compilation, the Neurobit LP on Vrystaete and the Neugeborene Nachtmusik 7″ are now ready and being shipped… you can order it at the Enfant Terrible webshop and soon at several specialised shops and mailorders worldwide…

And… here is another full track preview of the “Noblesse Oblige” compilation (by Profligate) on Gooiland Elektro to celebrate these releases…

Featured on The Brvtalist blog is the upcoming Gooiland Elektro compilation “Noblesse Oblige” and a special mixtape by Neugeborene Nachtmusik…

You can read some words on the compilation and listen to the mix here…  Neugeborene Nachtmusik did a mixtape featuring a lot of music I released on Enfant Terrible…  and created  a dark ritualistic trip…  enjoy while waiting for “Noblesse Oblige” (coming soon now!)…

Onont Kombar @ Radio Resistencia

RR_logoThis Thursday (24th of March) there is new Radio Resistencia / Enfant Terrible at Kapitaal mini-event / radio session… live performing will be Onont Kombar… this will be the first live show ever by this Dutch artist…

Onont Kombar is playing around with noisy synth sounds and rough rhythms… sort of minimal synth but harsher…and quite dark too… out soon will be his debut as a split LP with Enfant Terrible family member Neugeborene Nachtmusik… on a new label called Ordo Viatorum… which is run by those two musicians themselves…

Below is a video of one of the Onont Kombar tracks from this record… this video was done by Dutch visual artist Anouk van der Wegen

The radio session starts at 20.00 hour and ends at 23.00 hour … the entrance is free and the drinks are cheap and nice… for directions see the Kapitaal website

Enfant Terrible releases update

petitNN_cvrExpected at the end of March are some new releases… one from Vrystaete (more on this soon) and two on Enfant Terrible… and more specific one in the Gooiland Elektro and one in Petit Enfant series…

After the album from last year Neugeborene Nachtmusik is back with a sweet little 7 inch release with two minimal synth pieces… dancefloor friendly but with a twist… different as you might know Neugeborene Nachtmusik but also very much part of his identity…

Here is one track from the 7 inch…

ET044Next to that there will be a new Gooiland Elektro compilation… in a way this one takes off where we left you with the “Club Funny Horse” compilation… but it is also very much in line with the Gooiland Elektro MKII focus… so expect EBM, dark techno and industrial acid inspired tracks… this full length compilation album features infamous co-conspirators from around the globe: LCN (aka Le Chocolat Noir), Monocorpse, Profligate, Osty (FOQL/Marburg project), Neugeborene Nachtmusik and Future Blondes…

This is the full Monocorpse track…

Updates/news will follow when the time is there…

Beyond Horizon

Horizon-flyer16Last friday I played two sets at Horizon… an event organised by Ordo Viatorum… a new label in the making by Neugeborene Nachtmusik and dj Down The Rabbit Hole…

Next to three great live performances by Ian Martin, Bear Bones Lay Low and Neugeborene Nachtmusik there was visual art presented by Anouk van der Wegen… there were photo’s on display next to paintings/mixed media pieces and video art…

I was happy to play some tunes in this context… as the tunes I played worked so well with these art pieces and especially the video art… my second set and the visuals did connect in a strange way… too bad I have no way to show this… or maybe it is better as somethings are just perfect at one specific time and place…

BUT… I have uploaded my second dj set for you to enjoy… here it is…

Horizon – 16 October – live: Ian Martin + Neugeborene Nachtmusik + Bare Bones, Lay Low

On friday the 16th of October I play some tunes together with dj Down The Rabbit Hole at an event organised by him/Ordo Viatorum… which is also a new label starting soon… run by dj Down The Rabbit Hole and Neugeborene Nachtmusik…

Performing live that night are Neugeborene Nachtmusik… check his debut LP which was released earlier this year and Ian Martin… part of Kaval of course… but probably more famous for his elektro/psych electronic music… the third live act is Bare Bones, Lay Low… doing his weird and trippy (lo-fi) psychedelic stuff…

Expect a night filled with post-industrial, ambient and psychedelic electronic music…

We start at 19.30 at Club Solo, Kloosterlaan 138, Breda, NL

Everyday is Record Store Day

NN_special_finishedIt might be no surprise I am against Record Store Day… this as I see it only as another exponent of the vinyl hype… and it is just another example of the (cultural and economical) decay of our world… with this I mean that everything in our world gets commercialised and this takes away meaning, value and relevance of the product or activity that gets this commercial treatment… and as I love vinyl records and specialised and independent and local record stores so much it matters a lot to me…

So do not get me wrong… I am a big supporter of records stores and of music and vinyl culture… but Record Store Day is not about that… it is about making money… selling people so called limited editions or special releases for way too much money… and in the process it harms independent music culture by claiming all man and machine power of vinyl pressing plants around the world… so this is nothing more as old industry ways or working and doing… and a globalisation format as well…

To me a special and limited edition is something really special… not something available in 1000 copies which must be sold that one specific day… so for the Neugeborene Nachtmusik LP I did this special edition of 20 copies which is not for sale, not today, never…
